Ebrergent Cycle (2016-2018)

Se’m va proposar de rellançar la convocatòria per a joves artistes de les Terres de l’Ebre Ebrergent 2016/2017 de la Direcció General de Joventut de la Generalitat de Catalunya i el Centre d’Art Lo Pati. Publicat una sort de manifest adreçat a la joventut precària i creativa del territori ebrenc i del Sénia, o a qui s’hi identificara, junt a les persones seleccionades establírem un grup de treball i assemblea conformat per professionals i estudiants del sector artístic i ciutadania en general.

I was asked to curate the Ebrergent 2016/2017 campaign of the General Directorate of Youth of the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Lo Pati Art Center of the Terres de l’Ebre in order to relaunch it. We released a manifesto addressed to the precarious and creative youth of the Ebrenc and Sénia regions the furthest from the centres in bot Catalonia and the Valencian Land. With the selected people, a working group was established made up of professionals from the artistic sector, students and citizens. 

Coordinades per mitjà tant de dinàmiques presencials com a distància donada la realitat de diàspora que assola el territori ebrenc, d’entre les seleccionades conformàrem un col·lectiu d’artistes. Produírem un arc de videoderives de punk rural en les quals rellegírem i renarràrem afectivament un territori fet perifèria. 

Coordinated through both face-to-face and distance dynamics, we formed a collective of artists: and we produced an arch of rural punk video dérives in which we re-read and re-narrated a territory made periphery. 

També riguérem molt. 

We laughed a lot too.
